Outreach Program

Our BTC Team works daily at our center in Nagpada providing food, medical care, and other basic needs to substance abusers who have been rescued from the streets of the city.

Members of the staff venture into the city slums, seeking out and serving individuals who are living in deplorable living conditions. Many of the victims they find have been lying on the streets for days, bathed in their own stench, fragile to the point of breaking their limbs if lifted without proper care. After they are cleaned and cared for, they are taken to the government hospital where they are given immediate medical care as well as detoxified. Once discharged, the individuals are taken to Ashagram, BTC’s “Village of Hope,” for further rehabilitation. If the victim is a child, they are either re-united with their families or taken care of by one of BTC’s children’s shelters.

BTC not only offers love and acceptance to these individuals, but also provides overall awareness and education regarding addiction to society at large. Services also include counseling and guidance into rehabilitation.
