Bombay Teen Challenge reaches out to those who are sex trafficked, prostitues and drug addicts in Mumbai. Many of the women in these brothels were betrayed and are afraid to trust anyone again. We live among these women; we walk among them, so they might know that we are here to love them that, that they can trust again.

Bombay Teen Challenge provides vocational training. Our vocational training program operates as part of our rehabilitation programs for victims of forced prostitution and drug addicts. Bombay Teen Challenge provides education. A key part to restoring the lives of these men, women and children is to create opportunities for them through education. Over the years we have seen lives transformed through the power of access to education. Bombay Teen Challenge provides a safe home. For those rescued to be restored emotionally and spiritually, they would have to be in an environment where they felt secure and safe, and most importantly, loved. With this realization in mind, we began the task of building homes for the rescued. Bombay Teen Challenge provides Health Care. Often, dealing with health issues is a point of entry for us to build relations with both owners and slaves. Care is provided not only for those in the red light districts but also for those who have been rescued and live in BTC homes.

Since 1990 we've journeyed through the streets of Mumbai's Red Light District, deepening relationships and our understanding of the humanity bound in slavery. Through our community and programs, we rescue and lead women and children out of the darkest parts of society, into the freedom of hope. Where once they worked under street lamps shrouded and concealed, today they stand under the sun, known and redeemed.
